Buell retired as global CMO of IBM’s Software, Cloud and AI businesses. He is a technology marketing executive with hands-on experience leading strategy, product positioning, business
development and go-to-market. His international experience includes sales for IBM’s systems business across EMEA, based in Paris.

Prior leadership positions include board director and executive committee for the Data and Marketing Association, and client advisory boards for Forrester Research and SiriusDecisions. He currently is a Senior Advisor for PathFactory and Pillir Software and is a Limited Partner with Iron Gate Capital.

Buell holds a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University, and currently resides in Naples, FL and Rowayton, CT.
